New York Produce Show List Policy

PHOENIX MEDIA NETWORK LIST POLICY

Phoenix Media Network Inc., which owns and operates The New York Produce Show and Conference, PRODUCE BUSINESS magazine and other fresh-food events and publications, does not provide or sell lists for any of the company’s events or publications.  This includes Phoenix Media’s trade shows, educational sessions, share groups, receptions, buyer-connect events, podcasts and webinars.

Unlike some national and international multi-day trade shows that offer attendee lists, Phoenix Media has never provided them for its conferences, which are more regional and shorter in time together. The New York Produce Show and Conference, for example, is heavily attended by buyers (40%), who have expressed privacy concerns about unauthorized outreach being conducted through those lists. Phoenix Media continues to honor and respect those requests to not release its lists. At our discretion, Phoenix Media may issue promotional material that include company names / banners of registered exhibitors or attendees.

As a regional trade show host, our goal is to maximize personal networking and commerce interactions during the short period of time the event takes place. Attending our Reception, Keynote Breakfast and Trade Show during its duration are the best times to maximize these interactions. However, our mobile app and website are great resources for communication between attendees and exhibitors.

New York Produce Show App Privacy Policy

Last Updated: October 2, 2026

The New York Produce Show & Conference (“New York Produce Show,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is owned and operated by Phoenix Media Network Inc. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information in connection with the New York Produce Show website, event registration services, mobile application, and related event services.

The New York Produce Show is a professional trade event intended primarily for adults working in the fresh produce and related industries.

Information We Collect – Information You Provide

When you register for the New York Produce Show, contact us, participate in the event, or use certain event services, we may collect information such as:

– Name
– Company or organization
– Job title
– Email address
– Telephone number
– Mailing or business address
– Registration type or attendee category
– Other information you voluntarily provide during registration or while communicating with us

Registration services for the New York Produce Show are provided by TPNI (The Pulse Network, Inc.), which processes registration information on our behalf.

Mobile App Information

The New York Produce Show mobile app provides access to event information and interactive features, including attendee, exhibitor, sponsor, speaker, session, and schedule information.

The app does not require users to create a separate New York Produce Show app account. Information associated with an attendee’s event registration may be made available within the app as necessary to provide event services.

Available app features may include:

  • An attendee directory searchable by name and company

  • Attendee profiles

  • In-app messaging between attendees

  • Personalized schedules through features such as My Agenda and Favorites

  • A digital attendee badge displayed as a QR code

  • NFC-based digital badge sharing on supported Android devices

  • QR-code scanning between attendees

  • Badge scanning by participating exhibitors

  • Session check-in by QR-code scan when offered by the event

The app does not provide automatic contact exchange or meeting-request functionality. Attendee contact information is shared with another attendee or exhibitor only when the attendee voluntarily presents their digital badge to be scanned or tapped.

The QR code and Android NFC digital badge contain only the attendee’s registration ID and last name. When the badge is voluntarily scanned through an authorized New York Produce Show lead-retrieval or attendee networking feature, the corresponding registration information may then be retrieved as described below.

Device Permissions

Certain optional app features require access to specific device capabilities. The app requests these permissions only when the relevant feature is used.

The app may request access to:

  • Camera: To scan attendee badges, QR codes, and other event-related codes.

  • Notifications: To receive push notifications and event-related messages sent by the New York Produce Show.

  • NFC on Android: To support tap-to-share functionality for the attendee’s digital badge on compatible Android devices.

  • Calendar: Only when an attendee chooses to add an event session to their device calendar.

The app does not request access to device location, photos, contacts, microphone, or Bluetooth.

Users may decline optional permissions or later change them through their device settings. A feature requiring a declined permission will not function until the applicable permission is granted.

We do not use device permissions for behavioral advertising or tracking.

Website and Analytics Information

When you visit the New York Produce Show website, we or our website service providers may automatically collect certain technical and usage information, such as IP address, browser or device type, operating system, pages viewed, referring pages, and dates and times of access. The website may also use cookies and similar technologies for essential website functions, analytics, preferences, and performance measurement.

The New York Produce Show mobile app does not contain analytics or crash-reporting software development kits and does not collect advertising identifiers, IP addresses for tracking purposes, or diagnostic information for analytics purposes.

To provide push notifications, the app uses Google Firebase Cloud Messaging and Microsoft Azure Notification Hubs. For this purpose, the app registers limited technical information with TPNI, including a device identifier, device platform, app name, and app version. The New York Produce Show mobile app may include an attendee directory that allows registered event participants to search for attendees by name or company and view attendee profiles.

The app also provides voluntary networking and badge-sharing features. An attendee’s digital badge contains only the attendee’s registration ID and last name.

When an attendee voluntarily presents their digital badge to another attendee for scanning, or allows an exhibitor to scan the badge through the show’s authorized lead-retrieval system, the recipient may receive information from that attendee’s registration record, including:

  • Name

  • Job title

  • Company

  • Email address

  • Telephone number

  • Mailing address

  • Registration type

The same registration contact information may be provided when one attendee voluntarily scans another attendee’s badge.

No contact information is automatically exchanged merely because attendees are present at the event or using the app. Contact information is transferred through these badge-sharing features only when the attendee voluntarily presents their badge for scanning or tapping.

The app may also provide in-app messaging between attendees. Use of these networking features is voluntary.

Exhibitors, Sponsors, and Advertising

The New York Produce Show website and mobile app may contain exhibitor listings, sponsor recognition, advertisements, promotional messages, or sponsored content.

However, no internet transmission, electronic storage system, website, or mobile application can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Data Retention & Deletion
